New Delhi: Anna Hazare broke his fast on Sunday, August 28th at 10: 20 am at the Ramlila Grounds where he was fasting for the last 13 days for the government to pass a Jan Lokpal Bill against corruption in the country.

The Gandhian who has been on fast since August 16th 2011 wanted the government to pass a stronger anti corruption bill was supported by the India Against Corruption Movement Team, which included Arvind Kejriwal, Shant Bhushan, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia, along with over thousands of supporters who thronged the Ramlila Maidan for 13 days while Hazare was fasting there.

On Saturday, August 27th the government agreed on Anna's three key demands which included lower judiciary, citizen's charter and Lokayuktas in every state. Hazare broke his fast after the draft resolution was adopted by parliament. The parliament is likely to adopt the ongoing discussion on the Lokpal Bill. The resolution will recommend that all the three issues to be considered by the standing committee before which the government's version and the Janlokpal Bill have already been referred. Despite breaking his fast Anna says that the battle is not over yet and they are waiting to see the Janlokpal Bill be passed by the government as promised.
