New Year’s Eve at Clos Malverne

When the clock strikes 12 on the 31st of December you will want to be in the warm company of The Restaurant at Clos Malverne in Stellenbosch, where an extravagant eight course food and wine feast awaits to end the year on a delectable high.
This epicurean hotspot in the hub of the beautiful Devon Valley outside Stellenbosch, will pull out all the stops on New Year’s Eve with a lavish Clos Malverne Food & Wine Experience, sharing for one night only eight of the latest vintages from the estate’s prized cellar, each paired with a matching dish.
Chef Nadia Louw Smith menu kicks off with a sensational seafood twosome which starts with a chilled Cucumber and Crayfish soup served with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, followed by Prawn and Sole rolls matched with a glass of Clos Malverne Chardonnay.
Diners will then be treated to a Smoked Springbok Salad and the estates popular Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend after which a lip smacking Butternut and Ricotta ravioli will accompany the Clos Malverne Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend to your table.
Seared Tuna perked up with a chilli and coriander aioli and the estate’s Merlot is next on this whopping bill of fare before the tastebuds and remainder of the appetite will be lured with an oh-so-good Veal and Truffle experience served with Clos Malverne’s signature Cape Blend, Auret.
Her dessert duo includes a dreamy Camembert Fondant married with the award winning Clos Malverne Pinotage Reserve before this royal New Year’s Eve celebration is rounded off with a Strawberry and White Chocolate Terrine accompanied by a glass of the maiden Clos Malverne Le Café Pinotage.
