30 marine enterprises to take part in Bahrain Boatshow International 2011

Tamkeen - Bahrain's enterprise development authority has joined forces with the Bahrain Boatshow International 2011 (BBSI) to fund up to 80% of costs for 30 marine enterprises that will be exhibiting at the show by extending financial assistance worth BD80,000 and encouraging development in the leisure marine sector.

The Tarweej scheme is one of the main schemes under Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Support Programme that helps Bahraini enterprises promote their products and services at leading local, regional, and international trade fairs and exhibitors. Tamkeen's Senior Manager of Private Sector Supporting Division, Mohammed Bucheery emphasized the importance of supporting the business sector as a means of helping Bahrain channel substantial investment towards infrastructure and property development with the aim of developing the marine leisure sector for both visitors and businesses to explore, educate, and stimulate industry growth. "The boat show is a great opportunity for Bahrain-based marine businesses to promote their products and services amidst a huge eclectic audience and further reinforces our 2030 strategy to develop and strengthening our country's economy through every means possible."

BBSI, in partnership with the Bahrain Economic Development Board, is proving to be a unique way to attract inward investors into Bahrain and encouraging further diversification in various service industries such as the financial, tourism, business, education and training sectors.

"We would like to thank Tamkeen for their unique and active role in simulating the economy and supporting the small, medium and large companies participating at the show by helping them gain exceptional exposure which in turn will help them grow their businesses. We consider the combination of our EDB partnership combined with Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Scheme and the solidarity of other government entities, to be a unique combination helping BBSI to lead the marine industry in the region," explains Boat Show organizer Knotika Holding CEO, Wael Juju, "BBSI is the perfect way to open doors and help pave the way for further expansion within these sectors."

This year's boat show schedule from November 23rd to the 26th will comprise an impressive line-up of exhibitors that will showcase some of the marine industry's finest products and services and will feature numerous activities and competitions. BBSI will be limiting its tickets to 15,000 and expects visitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE to attend the four-day event including a large number of boating community members from around the world. Tickets purchased entitle visitors to enter a raffle to win a speedboat.
