Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

Since offering stainless steel reusable water bottles for sale at its Kilauea Visitors Center (KVC) a year ago, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park has prevented about 13,000 plastic water bottles from entering the waste stream. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, or buy one from the KVC bookstore, and fill 'er up at park water stations. The water stations offer some of the best H2O on earth: Hawai'i Island rainwater, which is captured from the clouds, filtered through sand, and delivered by solar power. The thirst-quenching stations are located outside KVC and Jaggar Museum.
