Company, has chosen to build its operational technology infrastructure
for food and beverage utilizing the MICROS Simphony™ Enterprise Solution on MICROS Workstation 5a and Mobile MICROS hardware. Leveraging Simphony’s
state of the art technology and service oriented architecture (SOA),
Maryland Live! Casino can streamline the integration of various
applications to accommodate targeted functionalities.
Maryland Live! Casino, currently in development in Anne Arundel County, MD, will be the largest gaming facility in Maryland featuring 4,750 slot machines and electronic table games, several nationally-acclaimed restaurants and a state-of-the-art live entertainment venue. Maryland Live! Casino is scheduled to open in Summer 2012 (pending approval by the Maryland State Lottery Agency). Maryland Live! Casino will enhance the Arundel Mills Commercial District, which currently boasts 3 million- square- feet of retail, entertainment and commercial space, 1,400 hotel rooms and draws in about 14 million visitors a year. To provide service throughout this extensive facility, Maryland Live! Casino will utilize 25 Mobile MICROS hand-held terminals giving its staff the ultimate flexibility in providing excellent, immediate service that will translate into increased operating efficiencies, greater profits, and an enhanced guest experience.
After an extensive evaluation, Maryland Live! Casino selected MICROS Simphony and its superior hardware technology due to its advanced technology and its strength in the casino industry. “To accommodate our substantial Casino operation, we require a technology partner that can provide a feature-rich, and highly secure solution,” stated Ted Mazotas, Maryland Live! MICROS Simphony’s robust enterprise, web-based reporting functionality and business intelligence will power Maryland Live! Casino’s sales and cost reporting requirements. MICROS Simphony also offers a high level of flexibility, allowing it to seamlessly interface to third-party peripheral equipment and software, including Player Tracking, Liquor Dispensing Systems, Stored Value Cards, and Table Management Systems.
