Mohit Suri to direct 'Aashiqui 2' with fresh faces

Mohit Suri is set to re make the 1990 film 'Aashiqui' and plans to rope in new faces for it. The story of 'Aashiqui 2' would be upgraded to suit the modern times. The earlier 'Aashiqui' was made in the year 1990 with Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal in the lead. The songs of the film were one of the biggest hits of 1990s. Suri is also set to hunt for new faces for the sequel."I will cast fresh faces with a new boy and a new girl," said Mohit. While some are referring to 'Aashiqui 2' as a sequel, others are calling it a remake. However, producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films sets the record straight. "It is neither a sequel nor a remake. It can be said as the musical series of 'Aashiqui'...a new generation is making this film," he said.
