Federer clinches Indian Wells title

Roger Federer won his third title of the season as he tamed the big serve of John Isner 7-6 (9-7), 6-3 to win a fourth Indian Wells Masters title on Sunday. The success marked his third trophy on the trot after Rotterdam and Dubai. He is the only man to ever win Indian Wells four times. The victory in 86 minutes marked the 18th Masters 1000 title for the Swiss 30-year-old, who was playing in his 103rd final with 73 titles. The win meant revenge after losing to Isner in a Davis Cup match last month in Switzerland.
