Private Office of Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launches second chapter of training initiative at Careers UAE 2012

In the context of ongoing efforts aimed at equipping qualified nationals with the resume of skills and experience required to gain a competitive edge in the labour market, The Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the second chapter of the Majid bin Mohammed Training Initiative through their fourth consecutive participation in Careers UAE 2012.

The second chapter of the Majid Bin Mohammed Training Initiative includes three new programs each allowing promising young nationals the oppurtunity to train for job skills that will help increase their productivity in their professional careers, under the guidance of influential organisations and seasoned business professionals. In parallel, the developmental programmes of the workshops will add to their resume of skills that will bolster their chances for ambitious careers, under the best practices provided by the functional group of experts and professionals in their field of career development.

The Career Training Program is designed to develop and train UAE nationals with the essential job skills to succeed in international and national companies, under the supervision of experts in the field for a minimum period of three months. The Workshops Training Program is aimed at UAE nationals who are interested in enhancing and obtaining specific skills through workshops from various disciplines, taught by specialised professionals in the field of development and innovation throughout the year. The Events Training Program is tailored for UAE nationals who are interested in managing and organizing leading events and initiatives held in Dubai in partnership with governmental entities, as well as getting the opportunity to assist in managing the various initiatives launched by the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum or by any of the events and festivals held in Dubai in cooperation with several governmental institutions.

In testimony to the success of the first instalment of the initiative, candidates shared the value of their experience.

Jomaa Abdul Rahman, who was trained in the Commercial Bank of Dubai, said, "This was my first time in the banking field, and the things I have learned will prove invaluable for my future. I gained self-reliance and learned how to deal with colleagues and clients, but most importantly, how to work as a team not just an individual. All of this came with the support of the staff responsible for my training and the vision of this initiative, which without with, I would not have had this opportunity. Their constant follow-up through the entire process gave my confidence and urged me to learn more."

Fatima Mohammed Al-Amir, who trained with Al Ghurair Group of Companies (Gulf Extrusions), said, "The experience gained through the initiative is immense. HH Sheikh Majid is propelling today's youth that are eager to learn and advance in their careers. Saying that the experience was 'excellent' does not even began to describe the full extent of my appreciation for this truly 'once in a lifetime' opportunity."

She added, "There are so many things that I've learned, and not enough room to list them all. Above all, I learned to communicate and excel in a multinational environment, and expanded on my resume of skills in English and computers. The most important; learning about human interaction, and how it is the very life-line of any organisation."

The reception of applications for interviews will commence from the first day of Careers UAE 2012, until its conclusion on the 7th of March at the Pavilion of The Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Dubai World Trade Centre
