South Superstar Nagarajuna’s mother passes away!

South superstar Nagarjuna, who has also acted in few Hindi films too, his mother Akkineni Annaporna passed away on December 28 due to renal problems. She had been ailing for a while and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hydrabad.  She was the wife of Padma Vibhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner akkineni Nageswara Rao (AKR). She is survived by her husband, three daughters and two sons.

Annaporna and AKR had been married for 62 years. ANR’s acting career graph rose after he married Annaporna in 1949. Annaporna always stood by her husband during his film career as well as supported in bad faces of life. She also was

strong enough for her children especially South Superstar son Nagarajuna.

AKR named his studios and production house, which he established in 1976, after his wife. An Annaporna studio is one of the premiere studios in Hydrabad.

Several personalities from the field of politics, cinema and business called to pay their condolence to the Nagarjuna’s family. South superstars Chiranjeevi with his wife Surekha, Media baron Ramoji Rao and director S S Rajamouli, actor NTR J, director K Raghavendra Rao, music director Keervani, superstar Venkatesh these film personalities were present at there. Also some political people like Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Balkrishna were came to pay their condolence.
