InterContinental Singapore ushers in the Year of the Dragon with a season of auspicious beginnings for its recently refurbished iconic Man Fu Yuan restaurant. Man Fu Yuan, which means ‘Garden of Prosperity’, boasts a brand new interior with garden-inspired colours and design elements that create a charming ambience for spring celebrations.
This Lunar New Year, savour exquisite Cantonese cuisine enhanced by a bespoke tea-pairing service or take home our new collection of delicacies specially created to celebrate this auspicious season.
Chinese Executive Chef Chan Siu Kong presents the prosperity Yu Sheng for diners at Man Fu Yuan along with set menus laden with delectable and traditional dishes for hearty reunion feasts in celebration of this auspicious Spring Festival.
Two majestic southern lions will captivate guests in the hotel and at Man Fu Yuan with their vivacious performance to the roaring beat of drums and clash of cymbals. Taking place on 23 January and 6 February, the first and last day of Lunar New Year, the lion dance performance will spread good luck and prosperity to all.

From 26 December 2011 to 6 February 2012, guests will be able to purchase Man Fu Yuan’s Deluxe Treasure Pot, brimming with 26 multi-layers of premium ingredients such as whole baby abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, shark’s fin and scallops, all enriched in a savoury broth. Two new ingredients this year includes sea whelk and cuttlefish, both of which are high in protein, potassium, omega-3 fatty acid, and rich in vitamins.
The top selling Deluxe Treasure Pot comes in a specially-designed claypot exclusive to the restaurant and is served with Yu Sheng to complete your Lunar New Year festivities.
Other sumptuous specialities include the new whole Suckling Pig Stuffed with fragrant Glutinous Rice and Double-boiled Buddha Jumps Over the Wall served with Wok-fried Glutinous Rice and Yu Sheng. Enhanced with panax ginseng to boost vitality, this luxurious soup is filled with South African five-head abalone, shark’s fin and fish maw, and brewed for six hours to extract all the goodness from the ingredients, resulting in a soup rich in flavour and nourishment. 
Gather your family and friends for a heart-warming steamboat reunion feast with Man Fu Yuan’s thoughtful selection of premium steamboat ingredients, from fresh seafood such as lobster and red garoupa, to hearty favourites like Drunken Chicken poached in Chinese wine and springy Sea Moss Dace Fishball in a delightfully flavourful homemade broth.

From 9 January to 6 February 2012, delight in Lunar New Year delicacies with the Special Treasure Pot Set at Man Fu Yuan which is most ideal for family reunion dinners, suitable for up to five persons and available for dine-in only at $538. Savour heartwarming delights such as Braised Shark’s Fin with Crabmeat, Deluxe Treasure Pot, Deep-fried Soon Hock with Superior Soy Sauce and Cream of High Mountain Sweet Potato with Yam, Crystal Sago & Glutinous Rice Dumpling.
Prepare to feast to your heart’s content with premium set menus comprising auspicious delicacies that include Double-boiled Superior Shark’s Fin in Shark’s Cartilage Consommé, Braised Green Lip Abalone with Sea Cucumber, Baked King Prawn with Superior Stock and ending the decadent meal with nourishing Double-boiled Bird’s Nest with Young Coconut, priced from $108 per person for a six-course menu to menus for 10 persons priced between $968 and $6888.
A special dim sum menu is also created for the celebration of a new year. Savour delectable dim sum handcrafted to perfection by dim sum Chef Simon Poon that include Double-boiled Seafood Dumpling with Shark’s Fin Consommé, “Jin Chuan” Dumpling and Deep-Fried Filo Dough with Prawns. The dim sum menu is available on 23-24, 28-29 January and 4-5 February 2012.
Prosperity Ang Pow sets will be given to guests who dine at Man Fu Yuan during the 15 days of the Lunar New Year celebration.
