World-famous recording artist Yoshiki of
the multi-million-selling rock band X Japan has purchased a unit in
Hollywood’s most sought-after luxury condo, The Residences at W
Hollywood. On the heels of a sold-out worldwide tour, Yoshiki, who
already owns homes in Japan and Los Angeles, adds a second Los Angeles
residence high above Hollywood Boulevard with picture frame views of the
Hollywood Sign and Capital Records Building. His new two bedroom/three
bathroom condo residence features over 1,800 square feet of living
space and a 678-square-foot balcony.
Since officially hitting the market in 2010, The Residences at W Hollywood – a 143-unit, LEED-certified, W-branded condominium at the iconic corner of Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles – has attracted local, domestic and international buyers.
“The building has become a hot property this year with a sharp uptick in purchases by buyers both stateside and internationally eager for an upscale, urban residential experience with unmatched amenities,” said Ron Barnes of PowerPlay Destination Properties California and Sales and Marketing Director for the property. “The Residences are unlike anything currently available in Hollywood, delivering a new level of luxury in the entertainment epicenter of the world, which is why we’re generating lots of interest from prominent buyers like Yoshiki.”
The landmark property has experienced a sales surge on the heels of a top-to-bottom price restructuring and an approximate $1 million rooftop enhancement. In addition to the existing pool, the roof deck features an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, private cabanas and fitness center, exotic South American mahogany wood decking, a rooftop dog park and unparalleled views of the entire city from the Hollywood Sign to the Pacific Ocean.
