Emily Peterson is the latest addition to Kinetic Software’s professional
team. She will start working in her new position as the Training and
Implementation Manager March 22. With 8 years working in the collegiate
conference industry, Emily brings a wealth of on-the-job experience
that will prove extremely beneficial for our customers.
Most recently Emily worked as a Conference Coordinator at the University of New England, Maine. Her job included event planning, staff training, as well as instituting a year-long visibility campaign for both internal and external customers. Prior to UNE, she worked at the American Cancer Society assisting with development, fundraising and special events. A Gettysburg College alumni with a Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s Studies, she had her first taste of conference services working a part-time summer job in the school’s Conference Services division. “I immediately took to the industry and quickly decided this was what I wanted to pursue as a career,” said Emily.
Kinetic’s North American Operations Director said, “We’re delighted to have such a talented and experienced individual join us. As a former Kx user, Emily knows Kinetic’s product suite inside and out which will directly benefit our customers.”
Emily is excited about the future with Kinetic. She said, “I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge of Kx with new and existing clients alike who are interested in maximizing their operations’ potential.” Emily’s first project is assisting with the implementation and training at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. A member of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors – International (ACCED-I), Emily plans on continuing to participate in various professional organizations to keep updated on the latest trends and evolving industry activities. During her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, reading, and taking her dog for a walk along the beach.
