General Holding Corporation out to recruit 198 UAE Nationals for industrial companies at Tawdheef

The Abu Dhabi government-owned General Holding Corporation (GHC), is looking to recruit 198 UAE Nationals at the country's leading recruitment show this week.

The industrial conglomerate is at Tawdheef to fill positions with qualified Emirati candidates within its group of diversified companies. The show opened on 31 January at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and concludes (2 February).

"Identifying and developing UAE talent is very important for GHC and its subsidiary organisations," said Eng Suhail Al Ameri, CEO of GHC, which among its holdings include several major industrial organisations such as Ducab, Emirates Steel, Arkan, Agthia and the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). One of the key objectives of our organisation is to ensure jobs and careers for UAE Nationals and we provide the tools, training, development, career planning and mentoring to make sure these objectives are realised. Tawdheef sets the ideal stage for us to attract the right local talent under one roof and fill the current vacancies that we have in our group of companies."

Presented by Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and supported by the Emirates National Development Programme, Tawdheef is the foremost recruitment event that supports Emiratisation. Only companies with immediately available positions for UAE Nationals will take part.

These include platinum sponsors the UAE Presidential Guard, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi, gold sponsors Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, ADNOC and Etisalat, and silver sponsors Etihad Airways, the Telecoms Regulations Authority (TRA) Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), and Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC). Abu Dhabi Airports Company is the registration sponsor.

Now in its sixth edition, Tawdheef is partnered with the three-day Emiratisation Summit - the only event to address the Emiratisation HR lifecycle, focusing on the three core dimensions of UAE National talent management: recruitment, retention, and professional development.

The programme features four post-summit workshops today and has an expert line-up of training, recruitment, and development professionals from 15 organisations, including the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, the Dubai Department of Economic Development, Unilever KSA and Gulf, and Al Futtaim Group.
