First Finish Sponsors NEWH Event At Newly-Renovated Madison Hotel

General Contractor for the Renovation of the Madison Sponsors Panel Discussion and Tour
First Finish, Inc. is sponsoring an event being held by the NEWH Washington D.C. Metro Chapter at the Madison Hotel on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. The event includes a panel discussion and tour of the recent renovation at the distinguished hotel. The panel consists of representatives from the major disciplines involved in the renovation—which includes First Finish’s Principal and Executive Vice President, Bryan Higgins.
The panel discussion and tour mark the completion of the 26-week renovation. First Finish was the general contractor for the project, which was comprised of 356 guestrooms (consisting of luxury rooms, suites, and ADA-compliant rooms), hotel lobby, and 30,000-sq-ft of meeting space. Most notably, the project also included work on the restaurant adjacent to the hotel—now known as The Federalist. The renovation took the restaurant back in time with an eighteenth-century, revolutionary period design. The restaurant received extensive interior work as well as exterior work—which included the addition of a much needed terrace for additional dining options.
“Virtually every part of the hotel was under construction at some point during the project; and there were times when more than one area of the hotel was being renovated at the same time. Because of that, extensive planning, phasing, and continual communication were paramount to ensure the successful completion of this renovation,” explains David Burman, president of First Finish. “The result was on-time delivery of the project with little-to-no impact on the guest experience.”
