Toronto Boat Hotel Offers Business Meeting Venue

Toronto’s newest meeting location provides a nautical executive escape
Toronto’s only Boatel (Boat Hotel) announced it will now offer a complimentary meeting venue for business travellers staying aboard the 65-foot custom private motor yacht.
The Boatel provides a unique alternative waterfront hotel for business travellers to Toronto. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Toronto Harbourfront, registered guests have an opportunity to host business meetings for groups of 2 to 6 people. Rather than booking an offsite meeting room, executive business travellers are able to entertain clients aboard the private yacht in a relaxed and creative environment.
For $490 per night business travelers enjoy full access to the Boatel’s amenities which include three staterooms, wifi access, full breakfast, large salon, upper and lower decks and personal concierge service. Guests are gently rocked to sleep in comfortable beds aboard the dockside floating hotel and awaken to a gourmet breakfast served on the boat’s aft deck. With morning coffee on the bow overlooking the Toronto’s islands or sitting on the back deck reading a favorite book in the evening, the Boatel takes the stress out of business travel.
"Parking is available across the street, however because of our proximity to the Toronto Island Airport and the easy access to downtown Toronto. Our guests love the fact that they can walk or take a streetcar and a car isn’t needed." states Boatel owner Diane Greene.
According to business traveller Ray Rodgers from Adelaide University, in Australia, “the Boatel was an ideal venue for us to hold a meeting of our editorial board comprised of people from around the world. The boat’s sky-lounge offered us the privacy to entertain some guests who were in town for a conference.”  “The boat offered us a panoramic view of the city’s Harbourfront and that isn’t something you can find in a meeting room at a regular hotel” states Rodgers.
The floating hotel remains dockside at all times and does not go out for charters or harbour tours, however charters can be easily arranged through one of the tour operators.
Making Waves Boatel re-opens May 10th for the 2012 summer season.
