Middle East Construction Forum to highlight vital issues affecting industry

As the construction industry in the Middle East region continues to develop and move with the latest trends, there is expected to be considerable interest in the upcoming Middle East Construction Forum.

The Forum is being held on the sidelines of Hardware+Tools Middle East, the region's premier trade show and conference for hardware, tools, materials and machinery, which will run from May 8th to 10th at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Organised jointly by Epoc Messe Frankfurt and the UAE Society of Engineers, the two-day forum proved highly popular in 2011, with nearly 200 delegates from the regional industry, in-cluding architects, engineers, designers, project managers, contractors, facility managers and developers, attending the series of seminars, workshops and presentations by international ex-perts.

"Events like the Middle East Construction Forum perform a vital function as our event contin-ues to support the overall development of the regional industry," said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt.

"With the cream of the region's industry attending Hardware+Tools Middle East, the Forum is an essential value addition to the scope of the event, highlighting the latest trends worldwide and sparking discussion amongst regional professionals about how best they can be adapted to the Middle East's unique market," he added.

This year, the forum will be held during the first two days of Hardware+Tools Middle East and will feature a high-powered panel of experts in various aspects of the construction industry. 'Facilities Management', 'Best Practices in Project Management', 'Maintenance during Planning Projects' and 'Maintenance in Existing Premises' are amongst some of the key topics that will be addressed at this year's event.

The overall programme will include seminars, presentations and interactive workshops on the latest technologies that are shaping the industry, changes in industry specifications that affect construction today and the latest trends and developments that are attracting interest world-wide. All participants will be awarded Performance Development Units (PDUs) from Project Management International (PMI).
