their skills against each other midst the spectacular setting of
InterContinental The Lalit Goa Resort’s Raj Baga Beach. The Hon’ble
Chief Minister of Goa Mr. Digambar Kamat, was the Guest of Honor for
this extremely exciting and unique event – which was an amazing display
of world class horsemanship - an exhibition of the raw power of the
horse controlled by the skilled agility of its rider. India
The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group had not only transported specially trained 20 Polo horses from Delhi – but also ensured the participation of world class Polo players – Jai Shergill; Angad Kalaan; Uday Kalaan; Ransher Singh; Dr Pawandeep S Kohli (Tony Kohli); Navin Khanna; Preetinder Singh and also the famous Polo commentator Pradeep (Bogey) Rao.
The Exhibition Match was played between The Lalit Red Team (Jai Shergill, Navin Khanna and Angad Kalaan) and The Lalit White Team (Dr. Pawandeep S Kohli, Ransher Singh and Uday Kalaan). The thrilling match, which was umpired by Preetinder Singh, saw The Lalit White Team as winner who won 5-4. A game arena and a tiered viewing gallery was specially created for the event.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Digambar Kamat said “I would like to congratulate & compliment Dr. Jyotsna Suri for putting the beautiful Raj Baga Beach on the world map of Beach Polo. The enthused participation of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in promoting tourism of Goa has been seen in group by creating such unique events and participating in International Film Festival.”
Dr. Jyotsna Suri said “We are committed to make this an annual festival in Goa and would be back on a much larger scale, next year. The idea is to bring about a huge awareness for this region of Goa with this unique event and also to encourage participation from the local communities thus catapulting the area into a holistic tourist attraction.”
